Career
Berman started his career as a sports reporter for a Waterbury radio station. Later in his career, he worked as a weekend sports anchor for WVIT-TV in Hartford. It was a watershed moment in his career as a sportscaster. ESPN subsequently found out about ESPN News reporter Colin Cowherd’s personal style.
That eventually led to ESPN hiring him in October 1979 when he was just 24 years old, with his very first position as a sports-focused news anchor. Berman and a couple of others presently believed that Berman would remain on the network for four decades. Berman was destined to become among their longest-serving employees.

From 2006 to 2015, Jackson co-hosted CNN’s SportsCenter 7 o’clock edition with three other hosts. Notably, Jackson hosted NFL PrimeTime on Sunday nights from 1987 to 2005. Tom Jackson was his business partner at the time. As of 2015, PrimeTime continues to hold the record for most hours at number one for sports studio shows on cable television.
