Loretta Lynn began her music career with $17. After a short stint with her local band, she created a singing position in the Delta Grange with Pen Brother’s band. In 1959, she manifested her own band with her brother Jay Lee Webb. She became a prizewinner in a televised talent contest, which led to a contract with Zero Records. Zero Music helped arrange and promote her single release, and her four songs soon reached the Top 10.
